Purpose:
To ensure transparent, fair, and consistent procedures for ending employment at Yasmin Bibi Girls College while protecting the rights of both the staff member and the College.
Scope:
This policy applies to all teaching and non-teaching staff employed at Yasmin Bibi Girls College.
Termination by Notice:
- Either the staff member or the College may terminate employment by providing one month’s written notice.
- During the notice period, staff members are expected to complete pending responsibilities and return any College property.
- Staff providing the required notice will receive full settlement of dues and a certificate of experience upon completion.
Termination for Misconduct or Breach:
- The College reserves the right to terminate employment immediately in cases of:
- Gross misconduct or unethical behavior
- Violation of College policies (including code of conduct, digital communication, or anti-corporal punishment policies)
- Breach of contract terms
- Unsatisfactory performance after probation or performance review
- Immediate termination may result in withholding of security deposits and other benefits if applicable.
Security Deposit Clause:
- A security deposit equivalent to one month’s salary may be deducted in installments from the staff member’s salary.
- The deposit is refundable if the staff member provides the required notice and fulfills all contractual obligations.
- Failure to provide notice or return College property may result in forfeiture of the security deposit.
Settlement and Documentation:
- Upon termination, the College ensures:
- Payment of all pending salary and entitlements
- Return of security deposit (if applicable)
- Records of terminated staff are maintained securely for audit and compliance purposes.
Governing Principles:
- Termination procedures follow employment laws of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
- All decisions aim to be transparent, fair, and in line with College policies.
